Understanding angiography results
What is in the report?
The doctor assesses the images and reports where arteries are narrowed, for how long and by what percentage. Results are usually given as a written report with images.
Degrees of narrowing
Mild narrowings are usually managed with medicines and lifestyle. Severe narrowings lead to discussion of stents or bypass surgery.
The next step
Discuss the results with a cardiologist and bring written questions. Your doctor will build the next plan for your situation.
This is general patient education, not individual medical advice. Do not stop or change medicines yourself. Fast or make other preparations only when instructed by your care team.
